This sample focus group discussion guide can be used to collect information from faculty about innovative teaching practices. A set of questions very similar to these were used in interviews that resulted in the searchable list of faculty video clips. The discussion topics include 1) the institutional policies, practices, and processes that promote effectiveness and success for faculty, specifically as they relate to student success and 2) the engaging practices that innovative faculty are using in their classes, including how faculty incorporate cultural awareness and inclusivity into their classes.
