Included Services

Participation in a SENSE administration comes with a variety of benefits. The base price (the cost of one administration) includes the following services during the year of administration and reporting:

  • Training and preparation resources
Campus Coordinator receives access to training materials such as a procedure guide and orientation webinar, communication templates, and other resources.

  • Sample selection (device-based administration)
For colleges participating in the device-based administration, CCCSE researchers review and draw a random sample from the college’s submitted Course File.

  • Survey administration materials
For an in-class device-based administration, CCCSE sends the college all the materials needed for a successful administration (e.g., QR Code cards). If the college is participating in the online survey administration, the SENSE Liaison works with the Campus Coordinator to develop a list of survey access codes and provides supporting materials and a survey promotions webinar.

  • Real-time assistance for Campus Coordinators
A CCCSE-assigned SENSE Liaison is available by phone or email to promptly answer all questions and resolve any issues.

  • Data analyses
Once the survey administration is completed, CCCSE researchers check, clean, and process the data.

  • Reporting
As SENSE is administered, colleges have real-time access to all survey responses, allowing leaders and campus teams to monitor patterns as data are collected and respond while the term is underway. Results are available through flexible dashboards that support timely review and disaggregation by student group. In addition to early access to all data, two focus areas will be featured: Entry, Onboarding, and Early Momentum; and Advising, Supports, and Conditions for Progress.

Final reporting released in early spring following the survey administration includes weighted results, national comparison data, expanded options for disaggregation and analysis, and access to a data file of student responses.

Benefits continue beyond the first year with the following services:

  • Online access to institutional survey data
Colleges have access to their SENSE results as long as they remain active members in the rolling three-year cohort; therefore, colleges that participate at least once every three years will have continuous access to institutional reports from within the current cohort cycle.

  • Opportunities to participate in institutes
CCCSE frequently invites colleges with current survey data to bring cross-functional teams to multi-day institutes focused on data-driven discussion and action planning.

  • Eligibility for customized workshops
Representative(s) from CCCSE can tailor and facilitate full- or half-day workshops aimed at helping college employees understand institutional survey data and use those data for improving student learning and retention.

  • Invitations to participate in free webinars focused on CCCSE research
We regularly host webinars based on national research and publications that are co-facilitated by leading experts in the field.

  • Special consultation and technical assistance
Call 512-471-6807 or send an email to CCCSE researchers at data@cccse.org to make arrangements. Note: We can provide only limited technical assistance by phone regarding use of standard statistical programs for data analysis or extensive additional analyses of the college’s CCCSE survey data.
