Past project — Conducted January 1, 2017 - December 31, 2019
The Center proudly announces its partnership in the California Guided Pathways Project. The project, funded by a College Futures Foundation and The Teagle Foundation grant to the National Center for Inquiry & Improvement (NCII) and coordinated by the Foundation for California Community Colleges, will help community colleges design and implement structured academic and career pathways for all students. The Center joins other leading national organizations in partnering with NCII in this important work: Achieving the Dream, American Association of Community Colleges, The Aspen Institute, Community College Research Center, Jobs for the Future, Sova, and WestEd.
The California Guided Pathways Project will feature six two-day institutes over the span of three years, during which a cohort of 20 colleges will build knowledge around designing and implementing fully scaled pathways. All participating colleges will also administer a 12-item special-focus module on guided pathways with the 2018 Survey of Entering Student Engagement (SENSE). The data collected will help colleges explore how their students are experiencing guided pathways.
