Participation in a DESSE administration comes with a variety of benefits. The base price (the cost of one administration) includes the following services during the year of administration and reporting:
Training and preparation resources
The Campus Coordinator receives access to training materials such as a procedure guide and orientation webinar, communication templates, and other resources.
Survey administration materials
A CCCSE-assigned DESSE Liaison works with the Campus Coordinator to develop a list of survey access codes. The DESSE Liaison also provides the Campus Coordinator with all necessary online survey materials in electronic form.
Real-time assistance for Campus Coordinators
The DESSE Liaison is available by phone or e-mail to promptly answer all questions and resolve any issues.
Data analyses
Once online surveys are completed, CCCSE researchers check, clean, and process the data.
Reporting
DESSE reporting will be released via an interactive platform on or before August 15 following the administration. The results will provide senior leaders and institutional researchers with timely insights into their college-level data, as well as how those results compare to national data.
Benefits continue beyond the first year with the following services:
Online access to institutional survey data
Colleges have access to their DESSE results as long as they remain active members in the rolling three-year cohort; therefore, colleges that participate at least once every three years will have continuous access to institutional reports from within the current cohort cycle.
Opportunities to participate in institutes
CCCSE frequently invites colleges with current survey data to bring cross-functional teams to multi-day institutes focused on data-driven discussion and action planning.
Eligibility for customized workshops
Representatives from CCCSE can tailor and facilitate full- or half-day workshops aimed at helping college employees understand institutional survey data and use those data for improving student learning and retention.
Invitations to participate in free webinars focused on CCCSE research
CCCSE staff regularly host webinars based on national research and publications that are co-facilitated by leading experts in the field.
Special consultation and technical assistance
Call 512-471-6807 or send an email to CCCSE researchers at data@cccse.org to make arrangements. Note: CCCSE can provide only limited technical assistance by phone regarding use of standard statistical programs for data analysis or extensive additional analyses of the college’s survey data.
