Participation in a DESSE administration comes with a variety of benefits. The base price—the cost of one administration—includes the following services during the year of administration and reporting:
- Training and preparation resources
The Campus Coordinator receives access to training materials, including a procedure guide, orientation webinar, communication templates, and other administration resources.
- Survey administration materials
A CCCSE-assigned DESSE Liaison works with the Campus Coordinator to develop a list of survey access codes and provides the electronic materials needed to administer and promote the survey.
- Real-time assistance for Campus Coordinators
The DESSE Liaison is available by phone or email to answer questions and help resolve administration issues.
- Data analyses
Once the survey administration is completed, CCCSE researchers check, clean, and process the data.
- Reporting
DESSE results are released through an interactive dashboard platform on or before August 15 following the administration. Participating colleges receive access to college-level findings and cohort comparison data, along with tools that support examination of results across available student and program characteristics.
Benefits continue beyond the first year with the following services:
- Online access to institutional survey data
Colleges have access to their DESSE results as long as they remain active members of the rolling three-year cohort. Colleges that participate at least once every three years maintain continuous access to institutional reports within the current cohort cycle.
- Opportunities to participate in institutes
CCCSE frequently invites colleges with current survey data to bring cross-functional teams to multi-day institutes focused on data-informed discussion and action planning.
- Eligibility for customized workshops
CCCSE representatives can tailor and facilitate full- or half-day workshops to help college employees understand institutional survey data and use those data to improve student learning and retention.
- Invitations to participate in free webinars focused on CCCSE research
CCCSE regularly hosts webinars based on national research and publications, often co-facilitated by leading experts in the field.
- Special consultation and technical assistance
Call 512-471-6807 or email CCCSE researchers at data@cccse.org to make arrangements. Note: CCCSE can provide only limited technical assistance by phone regarding the use of standard statistical programs or extensive additional analyses of a college’s CCCSE survey data.
